Hi!
Here is my short April update:

# deepl
I discovered a great new translator called DeepL. To my surprise, it always gives better results than Google Translate. I don’t think I will ever use Google Translate again.

# stayfocused
Another tool I discovered is StayFocused. It’s a free Chrome plugin that blocks websites that are killing your time – Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. You can also install a paid version Freedom that blocks Slack, Telegram and other crap — highly recommended.

# lean
I sold out my training The Principal Developer that will run this May. During the conversation with attendees, I noticed that some of them do not know what is Lean Manufacturing. Understanding of Lean allowed me to save a lot of money to my customers. No matter how experienced you are with Lean, you can learn a lot from this book.

# badass
This month I also read a lovely book by Kathy Sierra. Badass is an easy-to-read book about customers and how to make them awesome. Cool stuff inside:

Badass: Making Users Awesome
Badass: Making Users Awesome
# articles
I created two articles – listings, that I will keep up-to-date for your convenience:

# ux
If you appreciate beautiful design and UX, check out this is a nice article that shows how to redesign GitHub page: tonsky.me/blog/github-redesign/

# energy
Sometimes people ask me how to feel good when you face criticism. Here is my rule: if taken personally, criticism is eating your energy. Your energy is as important as money. Would you give 1000 EUR to the person who is criticizing you? Very unlikely. Why are you giving your energy then? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Energy equals money. Don’t throw your money into trash bin.

# javascript
My tweet that went viral:
Eduards Sizovs 👨🏻‍💻
Sometimes when I’m programming in JavaScript I just want to yell “Fuck this” but I can’t remember what “this” refers to.

# devternity
And the last thing before I go. DevTernity is coming! I hope to see you at the conference, in which I am putting a lot of energy:
DevTernity is coming!
DevTernity is coming!
Have a productive day!
